I can’t tell you how excited I was to shoot this wedding. For me this was a wedding photographers dream, it had everything imaginable from the lovely little church, to the camper van to the woodland bar and the Tipi reception and not forgetting the incredible attention to detail! Every corner and every space had something beautiful to capture. Paper lanterns, bunting, flower displays, hanging decorations, photographs, fairy lights, games, a stage with a totally cool band playing with trombones and double bass. Plus I totally underestimate Matts love for Oasis! There is nothing this guy doesn’t know about the Gallagher’s! Oh and how could I forget the fire eaters at the end! – “Do you think I over did it” said Kat???
Not only all this but the weather turned out ….well – not raining! which was a massive bonus considering it had been torrential the day before! Plus extra bonus points: This couple were so awesome and laid back, not to mention really lovely and their friends and family all super fantastic too! (Gushing I know! but also true). I’ve been incredibly lucky this year with all my lovely couples and the beautiful weddings I’ve shot. I’ve been to some amazing places as well, but now this one was literally on my doorstep and I believe Kat & Matt are the first to utilise this place in this way! Forty Hall in Enfield has obviously been around for 100’s of years and is used as a wedding venue most weekends of the year, but the Farm and the woodland to the rear of the house have had a make over and a relaunch! So with nothing previously to go on, the organisation and style for this day truly blew me away!
Because this was the last wedding of the season for me, I decided to stay as late as I could so I didn’t miss the fire eating action! Pretty pleased I stayed for the display. It felt like the perfect way to end a wedding and to end my summer season! So a huge congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Cunningham and a massive thanks for making my job such fun!
Feast your eyes on Wedstock!
