Cecilia and Richard tied the knot at Chelsea Town Hall on Sept 13th in an intimate ceremony with just a handful of close friends and family. We were so lucky to have such a crisp sunny day too! I don’t know this part of London too well and hadn’t had the chance to do a location scout for shots either but I knew London wouldn’t let me down for some scenic backgrounds; plus my model couple were already gorgeous enough themselves – how could I fail!
Cecilia got ready at the ‘My Hotel’ in Chelsea and after a fun mornings prep, with the wonderful Ashley Kay Gifford from Primp Powder Pout (check her out on my links page too!) doing the hair and make up, it was only a short walk for me to get to the Town Hall to meet Richard …..who was in a fantastic Kilt! Oh I do love a man in a kilt!
Richard was waiting with their gorgeous little girl Amandine who kept everyone entertained throughout the ceremony. I’m sure she was quite confused about the whole thing – but she did so well and was clearly adored by everyone around her.
After the ceremony I whisked the new Mr & Mrs off in a cab for some shots down by the Thames where the light was just stunning! We sure timed that one right! We walked along the river and found some great spots for the portraits then found it was only a short walk back to the reception which was held at the Blue Bird Restaurant on Kings Road, result! Cecilia did so well in her heels, we did a fair bit of walking!
By the time we got to the restaurant, all their guests had made themselves comfortable on the sofas and at the bar with drinks and canapes before heading down to eat. This was where my days work came to an end. As the sun set over London town, I made my way back home to North London by tube. What a lovely change for me to not be driving half way across the country after a long days work. I LOVE LIVING IN LONDON! and I love a couple who embrace the city in such a beautiful way. Thank you Cecilia and Richard for providing me with a wonderful London wedding to shoot!
